EmoTree builds privacy protection into its architecture from the ground up — not as an afterthought
All data is encrypted during transmission (TLS) and storage (AES-256). Your conversations are protected from the moment you type to where data is stored.
Personal identifiers (names, phone numbers, addresses) are automatically stripped before storage. Internal records use pseudonymized IDs (HMAC with salt) — even team members cannot trace data back to you.
Biometrics (FaceID, fingerprint) never leave your device — enforced at the OS level. Voice recordings are auto-deleted within 24 hours after transcription. Local preferences are not uploaded to the cloud by default.
You can delete individual conversation records during use. When you cancel your subscription, you can request full account and data deletion — processed within 30 days.
PostgreSQL RLS enforces strict cross-user data isolation at the database level.
All personal identifiers are automatically masked in all logs and analytics pipelines.
